PURPOSE:To enhance resistance to chemicals, abrasion, and printing, by coating an oil globules in water type emulsion of an organic solvent solution of a photocurable resin on a lithographic plate and after washing with water, photopolymerizing the resin attached to an image area. CONSTITUTION:A cross linking agent, a photopolymerization initiator, etc. are added to an organic solvent solution of a photocurable resin, and this solution is dispersed into water in the presence of a surfactant, and this oil globules in water type emulsion is coated on a lithographic plate. After water washing and drying, the plate is exposed to cure the photopolymerizable resin attached to an image area, thus permitting the organic solvent solution of the photopolymerizable resin to be attached only to the image area, a tough film to be formed only on the image area and freed of the solvent and the surfactant by water washing, consequently a lithographic plate of high printing resistance to be obtained. |
