The design of a mould for thermoplastic and elastomeric materials, which are injected, cast or extruded through channels at the joints between the mould sections, provides, when the upper mould section is lifted, for the clamping of the material in the feed channel to the upper section. At the same time a second clamping device holds the moulding in the lower mould section. The two clamps are released at different points in time, and the ejector for the moulding forms part of the second clamping mechanism. The mouldings are ejected fully automatically and no further work is necessary for the trimming of the fins, flash, etc.
