PURPOSE:To perform the detection of objects having disturbances in configuration readily and surely by guiding the objects along the sloped surfaces of a pair of crest-form guides provided with a pair of detecting elements. CONSTITUTION:When the guides 11 provided with sloped surfaces 14-17 by a pair of crest shapes and provided with a pair of optical or other object detecting elements 19, 20 are moved along the objects A5, A6... such as yarns which are arrayed with the straight line l as the centerline of the configuration, the objects A5... ascend or descend on the sloped surfaces 14-17 and are thereby guided to the specified positions where they are detected by the elements 19, 20 in the absence of any contact. Even if there are disturbances in the configuration of the objects A5... etc., the objects are readily and surely detected by this constitution. Further the guide surfaces are rubbed by the objects and therefore the guide surfaces and objects are both self-cleaned for dust, etc. |
