Electric heater bar assembly for railway points - has flexible cables connecting individual bars to transformers and feed network

The universal electric heating system is designed for use in railway points to prevent them freezing up in cold weather. The system includes heater bars, feeder cables, and a number of separate transformers. The incoming current t from the mains or power network is distributed to a number of electric rails or busbars. The current then passes via buses or circuit breakers to the transformers which are connected in parallel. The outputs of the transformers are connected to the terminals of the electric resistor heater bars. The transformers may be accommodated in a separate housing from the feeder circuit. There may be two multi transformer units, one on either side of housing for the feeder circuit. Each heating bar is connected with a flexible cable.
