The test channel for sheet-like securities, with a test device, has a motor-driven conveyor device (8) which consists of three endless bands (11, 12, 13) and which transports a security (9), inserted into a receiving slot (2), via a switch (31) either to a collecting orifice (10) or to a rejection slot (3). The bands (12 and 13) are driven by the motor (7); the second band (12) being connected non-positively to the band (11) arranged on a rotatable ring (14). The receiving slot (2) is closed in the position of rest by means of a flap (5) controlled by an electromagnet (6). The rejection slot (3) is provided with a closing lever (34) which prevents foreign objects from being inserted from outside. The bands (11, 12, 13) are held in the tensioned position by tensioning rollers (18 and 27). A detector (41) having a measuring device or having a further detector (42) serves for testing the banknote length. The position of the measuring heads (38, 39, 40) of the existing test device along the conveyor device (8) and the angular and transverse position are adjustable. Two identical conveyor systems located parallel and next to one another and driven synchronously by the motor (7) can be provided. <IMAGE>
