Hydraulic buffer with throttle tube - has sleeve adjusted by nut inside tube with corresponding ports

The hydraulic buffer comprises a ram with an impact cap on the protruding piston rod end, in which is a return piston. On impact, the piston rod of the latter slides in the cylinder, and is returned by a spring acting on its piston on unloading. The hollow working piston contains a valve shutting on the inward stroke, and slides over a throttle tube with overflow ports at intervals along it, extending from the cylinder base. The damping system in front of the return piston is completely filled with hydraulic oil. A non-rotating sleeve with drillings corresp. to the ports in the throttle tube extends from the cylinder base inside the latter. The sleeve base has a screw thread engaged by an adjusting nut turning in the cylinder base.
