<p>The hollow eccentric worm is intended for an eccentric worm pump and has constant wall thickness over its entire length. It is formed by a metal strip (2) which is wound coil-fashion around a suitably shaped core (1) and has the helical join (3) between the sides of successive winding turns continuously welded. After winding and welding, the core is screwed out leaving a tube which is of helical shape and can perform a pumping action when rotated.</p> |
