PURPOSE:To provide high precision control of air fuel ratio with simple construction, by determining, from data on engine torque and an running conditions, fuel requirement as controlled variable for controlling a fuel injection control valve asynchronous to the engine revolution. CONSTITUTION:An air passage 16 is formed beside a throttle valve 14 of a throttle chamber 12, the passage 16 being equipped with an air control valve 18. A fuel injector 22 is set upstream of the throttle valve 14 and a fuel chamber 28 is equipped with a fuel injection control valve having a valve 38 and a piston 40 which is vertically moved by a solenoid 44. A nozzle 32 is projected in a main passage 30 on the side to which the chamber 12 is open, and a passage 54 bypassing the nozzle 32 is equipped with an air-flow sensor 56. The solenoid 44 and other devices are controlled through a control circuit 100 to control the air fuel ratio in accordance with output of the sensor 56 and output of an engine condition sensor 200. |
