发明名称 COATING METHOD FOR ARTICLE MADE OF MAGNESIUM OR MAGNESIUM BASE ALLOY
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve remarkably the corrosion resistance of articles made of Mg or Mg alloy, by forming chromate coating which includes fluolide on the surface of the articles, then by forming tin oxide coating on the chromate coating. CONSTITUTION:In order to improve corrosion resistance and to increase reliability of computer parts etc. made of Mg or Mg alloy, an anticorrosive coating is formed on the surface of the parts. For this purpose, the Mg or Mg alloy parts are degreased, washed, then immersed in a chromate soln. contg. 150g/l sodium dichromate, 20g/l calcium fluoride, at a temp. not lower than 90 deg.C for 15-20min, and the parts are washed with water thereby forming chromate coating. After that, the parts are immersed in a soln. of dibutyl-tin-dilaurate in ethyl cellosolve 250g/l in concn. and is dried. The articles are dried by heating at 500 deg.C in a heating furnace to form tin oxide coating on their surfaces, thereby coating excellent in corrosion resistance is formed.
