A pilot allocation method of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system is disclosed in the present invention, the said method is used for communication system which includes at least a transmitter and two transmitting antennas, characteristics in that: the method includes following steps: step one, user data carrier allocation module in the transmitter allocates data carrier to the user data symbol, then maps the user data to the allocated carrier, finally outputs the mapped user data to the IFFT module in the transmitter; step two, at the same time of step one , pilot data carrier allocation module in the transmitter determines the allocation rule of the pilot data based on sub-channel allocation manner and transmitting antenna number of the system, and allocates the pilot carrier to pilot data, then maps the pilot data to the allocated carrier finally outputs the pilot data to the IFFT module The present invention synthetically considers the question of practical application while considers to reduce the floor effect.
