A Double Chromate of Silver and of Bismuth and a Method of Preparing and Applying said Chromate in Electric Cells

A chromate having a homogenous structure with a formula of AgBi(CrOx)2 when x is less than 4 and greater than or equal to about 3.7 is prepared by heating the stoichiometric double chromate AgBi(CrO4)2 to a temperature between about 200 DEG C and about 425 DEG C. This chromate is used as positive active material in an electric cell.
