PURPOSE:To improve the characteristics of a probe for non-destructive inspection and diagnostic device by calcining or heating and pressurizing to sinter a composition of (1-w(PbTi1-zZr2O3)+wMnO2 specifying z and w and then heat treating it at specified temperature and time. CONSTITUTION:After calcining a composition represented by (1-w)(PbTi1-z Zr2O3)+ wMnO2 in the range of 0.48<=z<=0.61 and w<=0.06, the composition is heat treated at 500-1,050 deg.C for 0.5-60hrs. Or, after heating and pressurizing to sinter the similar composition to the above at 1,050-1,300 deg.C and 100-500kg/cm<2> for 0.5-24hrs, the composition is heat treated at 500-1,050 deg.C for 0.5-60hrs. The above composition may also be substituted one or more of Sr, Ca and Ba for less than 10 atomic percent of the Pb. For example, after calcining the composition represented by 0.992(Pb0.95Sr0.05Ti0.44Zr0.56O3)+0.008MnO2 at 1,260 deg.C for 1hr, the composition is heat treated at 900 deg.C for 4hrs to produce a piezoelectric porcelain probe. |
