PURPOSE:To prevent the delay of ignition timing in the area of high revolutions by controlling a threshold level in accordance with the rise and fall of a timing signal. CONSTITUTION:Timing pulses synchronized with revolutions of an engine are obtained from a pickup coil 1. These timing pulses are supplied to an ignition timing and dwell timing adjusting circuit 2 to determine the ignition timing and dwell timing, that is the electrification timing to an ignition coil 8. The ignition timing and dwell timing are determined on the basis of the timing pulses in this adjusting circuit 2, and an output transistor 4 is switched on via an amplifier circuit 3 at a fixed timing for a fixed duration. Consequently, a current is given to the primary side of the ignition coil 8. When the output transistor 4 is switched off at a certain point of time, a high voltage is generated on the secondary side of the ignition coil 8, and a spark is given in an ignition plug. |
