PURPOSE:To attempt the improvement in hygienical security and working efficiency in the manufacture of rare earth element magnet, by a method wherein corpuscles of an intermetallic compound of a rare earth metal and cobalt are dipped in a solvent of trichlorotrifluoroethane, and are formed in a magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:Corpuscles of an intermetallic compound of a rare earth metal and cobalt 1 are dipped in a solvent of trichlorotrifluoroethane 2, then charged into a metal mold for forming in a magnetic field, and formed in the magnetic field. The solvent is incombustible and the allowable concentration is 1000ppm. Its vapor pressure is as low as 0.454kg/cm<2>abs/25 deg.C. Therefor the environmental problems in the standpoint of hygienical security are decreased, and the solvent is dispersed during the forming process to stabilize sintering atmosphere. By this may, the improvement of hygienical security and working efficiency can be attempted. |
