PURPOSE:To increase the productivity of an armature, and prevent unbalanced rotation thereof, by providing trancated-conical positioning pins in coil holding recesses in an insulating board, inserting coils in the coil holding recesses, applying an insulating sheet to the insulating board, and bonding the insulating sheet to the insulating board with ultrasonic waves. CONSTITUTION:Coil holding recesses 3 having inclined side surfaces are provided in a flat insulating board 1. Truncated-conical positioning pins 4 having downwardly diverging side surfaces are provided in the central portions of the recesses 3. Coils 7 are wound around the positioning pins 4 such that the coils 7 are spaced from the inclined side surfaces of the recesses 3. An insulating sheet 10 is then placed on the insulating board 1. The insulating sheet 10 and the insulating board 1 are sandwiched between holding jigs 12a, 12b, and the sheet 10 and the board 1 are bonded together with ultrasonic waves. Thus, the productivity of a armature can be increased without using a resin. Owing to the effect of vibrations occurring during the ultrasonic bonding operation, a balanced armature can be produced. Moreover, a armature which is not broken even when the positioning pins are thermally expanded can be obtained. |
