<p>The invention concerns a motor vehicle flexible axle, comprising two longitudinal arms (2) connected by a cross-member (1) each end of which has at least two docking edges (11) transversely matching the shape of a peripheral portion of said arm (2) and being connected at least via a linking portion (14). The invention is characterized in that the ends of said cross-member (1) have, proximate said linking portion (14) at least three zones (12), (13) having different levels of rigidity at least flexural rigidity, whereof at least one intermediate zone (12) extends from said end of said cross-member and having a first flexural rigidity and at least two extreme zones (13) extending between said intermediate zone (12) and said docking edges (11), said extreme zones (13) having each a second flexural rigidity higher than said first flexural rigidity.</p> |
