PURPOSE:To prevent the adhering of draff on a thermal head and the foging on a record by a method wherein magnesium hydroxide is included in the thermosensitive recording layer containing non-colored or light-colored developing pigment material and a phenol compound. CONSTITUTION:In order to provide a desired thermosensitive material, about 20- 80wt% of reduced solid content of magnecium hydroxide having mean particle diameter of about 1-10mum is compounded in a recording layer of a thermosensitive recording material consisting of a non-colored or light-colored leuco compound which develops a color when reacted with an acidic substance, wuch as the one belonging to triphenolmethane, fluoran, or indigo series, and a phenol compound which is solid at ordinary temperatures and which softens or melts by heating to naftol which are solid contact with the leuco compound and develop a color, wuch as 4,4'-isopropylidenediphenol, 4-t-butylphenol, or alpha-naphthol. |
