PURPOSE:To absorb visible rays which advance from a fluorescent layer to a conical space and improve contrast by internally fitting a perforated conical body with a number of transparent holes such as network bodies to the conical spacer which is arrayed between the fluorescent layer and a reflecting mirror. CONSTITUTION:Network bodies or plate materials are curved into preset shapes such as cylinders and the perforated cylindrical body 6 around which a number of transparent holes 8 are arrayed is internally fit to the conical spacer 4 at preset gaps 7. Since the after light C which advances from the fluorescent layer 2 to the conical spacer 4 is absorbed in the gaps 7 through the transparent holes 8 of the conical body 6, the ratio of the projected light on the projection screen decreases for the absorption of the after light C. Consequently, the visible rays whose focal point is fit can be projected on the projection screen and a picture with a distinct contrast be obtained. When the aperture ratio of the perforated conical body 6 is 50%, the contrast on the screen can be optimized. |
