The continuous plant-lifting machine is for use with shrubs, bushes, young trees etc. It comprises a lifting tool (10) fixed to a frame (5) moved over the ground and followed by one or more vibrators (14) shaking the earth free of the plant roots. Each vibrator can be arranged to rock on an axis (25) at right angles to the travel direction in the frame, being mounted close behind the tool. The tool and the vibrator can be formed by a series of strips extending in the travel direction.
