PURPOSE:To make it possible to insert pictures and patterns without a special input device, by reading characters, pictures and patterns from a scanner and by compressing data to store it digitally and by expanding compressed data to reproduce and record original data. CONSTITUTION:The original for input where patterns and pictures to be inserted between characters are entered in input from scanner unit 1, and obtained data is compressed by control unit 6 and is stored in memory unit 4 digitally. Next, characters for sentences are input successively from keyboard 2 and are stored in memory unit 4 also. When senstences are generated, character data and data of patterns and so on are read out from memory unit 4. Data of patterns and so on is expanded by control unit 6 to reproduce original data, and character data is input to character pattern generating unit 7 to obtain a character pattern. Next, these original data and character pattern are sent to facsimile output device 5 and are output and printed. |
