PURPOSE:To improve the reliability in controllability of an electric motor vehicle by so controlling a main circuit of the vehicle for connecting a plurality of choppers and a motor by a changeover switch for connecting the second chopper to the first motor. CONSTITUTION:To a power supply are connected a parallel circuit of a series circuit of the first chopper CH1 and the first main motor M1 and a series circuit of the second chopper CH2 and the second main motor M2. When the respective choppers and motors are in normal state, changeover switches RS1, RS2 are controlled in open state. When the first chopper CH1 and second main motor M2 are defective, the switch RS1 is closed to allow the first main motor M1 to be controlled by the second chopper CH2. When the first main motor M1 and the second chopper CH2 is defective, the switch RS2 is closed to permit the second main motor M2 to be controlled by the first chopper CH1. |
