摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To securely decrease the off-gauge amount, by heightening the target value of exit side thickness at upstream side rolling stand gradually up to the target value of exit side thickness at the time of high speed stationary rolling along with the progress of rolling. CONSTITUTION:The target value of exit side thickness at the upstream side rolling stand is set smaller than the target value of exit side thickness at the time of high speed stationary rolling, in the beginning of rolling during plate passing and initial period of acceleration. Along with progress of rolling, the exit side thickness at the first stage rolling stand should be returned to the target value (h) of exit side thickness at the time of high speed stationary rolling. Hence, after starting tightening, when Lm in the rolling length of the first stage rolling stand is passed, the target value of exit side thickness at first stage rolling stand 16 is started to be returned to the target value (h) of exist side thickness in high speed stationary rolling. Time DELTAt3 seconds is set at a gradient corresponding to the correction effect of the final stage automatic gauge control device. That is, the output of a thickness gauge 42 disposed at the exit side of the sixth stage rolling stand 22 is fed back to control a work roll driving motor 22C, thereby controlling the tension between stands.</p>
