The layers may be applied to a band from which it may be removed or to a permanent substrate such as a woven, knitted or non-woven fabric. Pre-treatment to improve adhesion may be necessary, e.g. degreasing of metals. The plastisols may contain decorative elements such as coloured beads, scales -and fibres. The layers may be applied by spraying, pouring, dipping or coating with a doctor blade. Organic liquids which form occlusions during the gelling may be added to the plastisols and the layers may be embossed, and/or printed.</p> |
