<p>PURPOSE:To reduce remarkably electric power consumption by equipping a magnetic recorder with an electromagnetic driving method which works for a short time in an initial operation process requiring large driving force and another electromagnetic driving method of small capacity which holds an operation state for the purpose. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic recording and reproducing device is so constituted that even when plunger 24 is returned to its original position, operating rod 19 will stay locked at the operation position and the device will be placed in reproducing state. In this state, pin 20 of operating rod 19 applied with the force of tension spring 22 applies lock arm 30 with E-directional force, but since this force is received being dispersed at the arc side of arched piece 30a of lock arm 30, only small force is needed for locking, so that electromagnet 28 will require capacity much less than that of plunger 24.</p> |
