PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a filter to be used with a less ripple rate by using a power supply that rectifies AC power to DC power for feeding a laser exciting power and by providing a polarity by which the output voltage is given by two steps or more of additions. CONSTITUTION:The thyristor 4 that are reverse connected with each other in parallel are connected to the AC power supply of the input side, its output is applied to the primary side of one boosting transformer 5-1. Also the AC supply is branched and applied to the other booster 5-2 through the switch 8, the secondary output voltages of these transformers 5-1, 5-2 are added to each other by the two high voltage rectifying diodes 6-1, 6-2. After this, the output voltage is applied to the laser device, which consists of the anode 1, plural cathodes 2-1-2-n and current limiting resistances 3-1-3-n, through the ripple smoothing reactor 7. In this way, since the DC power supply is divided, only the power supply required according to the load state can be operated, a filter of a less capacity can be used, resulting in the construction of a small-sized device. |
