Process for producing an edge strip for a heat-resistant insulating panel

According to this process an edge strip (4) is cast from a cold-castable and cold-curing plastic composition which is heat-resistant at least at 100 DEG C and to which is added plastic rigid-foam granules which are heat-resistant at least at 100 DEG C. This results in a specific density of 0.2-0.8 g/cm<3>. By means of this process it is possible to produce edge strips (4) with an improved heat resistance, high heat-insulating capacity and high compressive strength.
