Fuel gasifier for IC engine - has vaporising heat exchanger, with water injected into it, heated electrically and by exhaust

The closed pressure vessel (10) contains a core (13) with ribs (12) projecting to the sides of the vessel. An electric resistance heater (15) runs through the centre of the core. A section (19) of the core projects from the side of the vessel and fits into an opening in the engine exhaust pipe. Fuel is injected through an opening (26) in the botton of the vessel and water is injected through an opening on the opposite side of teh vessel at the bottom. The mixture flows through the spaces (11) between the ribs and is vapourised. The flow is regulated by a controlling valve operated from the engine suction.
