The flowmeter ensures that the effect of the radiation heat on the water vessel wall is considerably reduced. An electric heating element (3) is immersed in the vessel, the heater being fitted with a safety temp. limiter for disconnecting the heating element when the temp. in the vessel has exceeded the max. permitted water temp. In the vessel (1) round the heating element is mounted a sheet metal baffle (11), screening at least a part of the radiation heat impinging on the vessel walls from the heating element. Pref. the baffle is in the form of a screen covering the heating element, possibly in cylindrical form. Alternatively, the baffle is concave, deflecting the radiation heat onto a temp. sensor (7) of the safety temp. limiter (6). The connection between the baffle and the sensor may be heat conductive, but there may be no heat conductivity between the baffle and heating element.
|
