Gas burner with flat flame - has turbulence disc with inner and outer apertures for gas and air

The radiation burner with flat radial flame can be used with several different gases and at any desired combustion air temp. Gas and air are delivered via two concentric pipes to a turbulence-inducing disc and a burner block with cup shaped opening. The disc has apertures on an inner pitch circle for the gas and situated round the periphery of a theoretical truncated cone, whose large end is towards the block (5), and others on an outer circle for the air, tangential to a theoretical cylinder, and at 30 deg. to it. There is also an axial gas outlet, extending forwards beyond the plane of the gas and air aperture outlets for approximately 1.2 times its diameter, while the cross-section of its outlet is approximately 30% of the total for the gas.
