Prodn. of resin-coated substrate - by adjusting heat treatment to B-time of resin, for improving wood surfaces

Prodn. of substrates coated with heat-hardening synthetic resins, where the duration of heat treatment and the adjustment of the B-time of the resin (possibly catalysed by the substrate) are determined by calculation from experimentally determined B-times, wth reference to the temp. to be used during pressing, is claimed. Determn. of the B-time of the resin, and of the resin catalysed by the substrate, is simple. Uniform hardening can be obtd. with non-homogeneous resins and substrates, and with non-uniform temp. effects during pressing.
