摘要 <p>The levitation system consists of pairs of three limb choke coils with the cores vertically side-by-side and connected such that the centre limb carries the sum of the flux in the two equal outer limbs. The secondary winding, forming part of the vehicle to be propelled and stabilised, covers, at least in part, all of the six magnetic poles thus created. Instead of aluminium the use of a higher conductivity material for the secondary winding on the vehicles is proposed, and the use of copper of copper alloys suggested. With copper the levitation height is practically doubled for the same primary circuit field strength. Thus for no increase in levitation the primary circuit input can be significantly reduced.</p>
