PURPOSE:To design an external wall of a reduction gear that the wall is disposed between intermediate and interior walls, welded with a flange of the gear and for all or most part of it with the interior wall and cut off adjacently to the intermediate wall. CONSTITUTION:A united gear case 12, 13 stores reduction gears 14 to 19. The follower gear 19 is fixed around a drum shaft 6. A cutoff face B-B of an external wall 11 is placed adjacently to an intermediate wall 8 and nearly all part of the external wall is united with an interior wall 7 whose external ends are welded with a fitting flange 45 of the gear. This allows ready assembly or disassembly of reduction gears 14 to 19, therefore completing the job in safe. Gears can be assembled in one direction without requiring reverse rotation in the course of production so efficiency of assembly may be improved.
