The base plate (6) for the door handle seating and the lock plate for the keyhole location are fixed to the door leaf (2) by screws (7) which are long enough to reach the material of the corresponding base plates on the other side of the door leaf. The edges of the base plates are provided with shoulders pref. only on part of their circumference positioned at the bottom when the plate is fixed. The shoulders act as locking elements when the door plate (1) is fitted by press fit onto the base plates. Alternatively the base plates can be provided with protruding lugs and recesses engaging with correspondingly placed recesses and lugs on the underside of the door plate. The positive location of the door plate is improved by fitting the bushing (9) which serves as a seating for the neck part of the door handle.
