The drive device is constructed in such a way that the drive motor (4), which is connected to a gearbox (9) via a rotationally elastic clutch (17), is mounted with its non-driving end on a part of the bogie (1) by means of an elastic element (23), the gearbox (9) being mounted on the bogie (1) on the one hand so as to slide on the axle shaft (3) and on the other hand by means of a further elastic element (18). This is therefore a three-point mounting. Spherical bearings are suitable as elastic elements (18, 23). The advantage of the drive device lies in its simple construction which is reliably operational even in the case of large stresses and mechanical deformations. <IMAGE>
