PURPOSE:To provide an efficient operation of an electro-magnet and to perform a high speed, high quality printing under a regular driving of a hammer by a method wherein a free end of a spring plate for the hammer is bent and a contact element made of a special anti-friction alloy is arranged at a leading end of the free end. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular spring plate 1 of a printing hammer has its free end bent and the end 2 is projected out of the spring plate. The end 2 has a sharpened shape and a contact element 4 is connected and mounted at the leading end 3 by a welding. The contact surface between the leading end 3 and the contact element 4 is made to be a curved surface. Further, the contact element is made of an alloy of platinum metals or alloy of platinum metals and transition metals or alloy of platimum metals, transition metals and boron. Said spring plate 1 is restricted by the electromagnet 7 and released under a printing instruction. The spring plate 1 strikes a recording paper via ink ribbon 9 to perform a printing operation. |
