FIELD: mechanical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shutoff devices to control and shut off flows of working medium transported by pipeline. Proposed ball cock has housing, spherical stopper placed in housing, flexibly deformable seats engaging with stopper. Each seat is made in form of at least two mating members being hollow solids of revolution rotating relative to longitudinal axis of housing. Said hollow solids of revolution are provided with circle in base. Diameter of base of member arranged near stopper is less than diameter of base of mated member. ^ EFFECT: improved sealing of seat-stopper pair of ball cock in wide range of working medium pressures owing to improved geometry of flexibly deformable seat and simplified manufacturability. ^ 10 cl, 4 dwg |
