发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY CELL
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To manufacture a field effect twist type (FETN type) liq. crystal display cell with a wide angle of vision, high contrast, superior responding properties, superior reliability, etc. by using a polyimide type polymer as an electrode substrate orienting agent and carrying out inorg. sealing in an inert gas atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A polyamic acid soln. is coated onto each electrode substrate and heat treated at about 100-350 deg.C to form a 0.01-10mu thick polyimide type polymer film, which is then oriented. An inorg. sealant, preferably low m.p. glass frit capable of heat sealing in a low temp. range of about 550 deg.C or below is applied to peripheral portions of upper and lower substrates, and after being placed opposite to each other so that the orientation directions meet at right angles, the substrates are seal bonded under pressure by heating to about 350-550 deg.C in an inert gas atmosphere. A positive dielectric nematic liq. crystal substance is injected into the resulting cell from the injection hole, and the hole is sealed with the low m.p. sealant to obtain a display cell.</p>
