PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect of a resin molded electromagnetic coil while simplifying the fabrication of the coil by impregnating a resin composition in the blank coil, curing the resin composition, then disposing a barlike spacer on the outer peripheral surface of the coil, further winding insulating material thereon, and impregnating again the resin in the coil. CONSTITUTION:After wound blank coil 1 is impregnated with a resin composition and the resin composition is cured, U-shaped spacers 6 made of aluminum having high thermal conductivity and nonmagnetic property are arrnged in space axially of the coil 1 on the outer peripheral surface 4 of the coil 1. Then, an insulating tape is wound on the entire surface of the coil 1 including the spacers to form a cover 7, the coil 1 is again immersed in a tank filled with the resin composition and pulled up, and thermally cured. Thus, the steps of fabricating the coil may become simple. It improves the outer appearance of the coil and largely increases the cooling efficiency of the coil due to the chimney effect caused by ventilation passages 8 formed between the cover 7 and the spacers 6. |
