The grab bucket is roughly rectangular in shape and its framework can be fixed to any tractor or lifting machine by lateral connections. The grab is front loaded by an up and over door turned about a horizontal axis by a hydraulic jack. Closing the door forces the material deep into the interior of the grab bucket. A precise direction of unloading and a controlled rate of discharge of the material is given by the hydraulically operated conveyor belt which is fed by tipping the whole grab bucket up and over the conveyor belt using the lever arm.
