Semi wet process for cement mfr. - by clinkering raw material direct from the filter press

Prepn. of cement by the semi-wet process using drying and firing in a rotary kiln is described in which material in a liquid state is filter pressed and the filter cake is introduced directly into the rotary kiln in any form (cake, granules compacted or otherwise) without any further pretreatment. Process avoids use of compaction presses and roasting grills, simplifying the plant and making automation possible.
