PURPOSE:To make it possible to carry out the plane tracing of an impulse pump system and to perform the observation of continuous supply of a recording medium and progress of the recording process by causing a machine stand on which impulse pump type head blocks are arranged in a predetermined interval to reciprocate and scan. CONSTITUTION:An ink from ink tanks 1-4 is introduced through an ink inlet port 53 an ink chamber 54, and supplied fully in a space from a pressure chamber 58 to the proximal end of an orifice 55 provided at the proximal end of an ink chamber 54. Since the ink levels of tanks 1-4 are set slightly higher than the position of the orifice in the range not overcoming the surface tension of the ink in the orifice, the ink does not leak form the orifice 55 at a normal state. On the other hand, when the injection of ink drops becomes necessary, a disc-shaped piezo electric element 51 is pulse-driven. Then, a vibration plate 50 is bent, and a pressure wave proportional to the pulse voltage is transmitted in the ink chamber 54. Therefore, ink drops 56 each having a dimension substantially proportional to the pulse voltage are injected from the tip of the orifice 55. |
