CATALYST OR SUPPORT AND ITS MANUFACTURE

摘要

PURPOSE:To manufacture effectively an acid-resistant and strong catalyst by adding a synthetic inorganic laminar compound of a specific rational formula to a catalyst composed mainly of titanium oxide in molding of the catalyst by an auger machine. CONSTITUTION:In the extrusion molding of a catalyst composition composed mainly of titanium oxide by using an auger machine, a synthetic inorganic laminar compound of the rational formula K. Mg2.5 Si4O10(F)2 is added to the catalyst composition. Since the synthetic inorganic laminar compound is excellent in acid resistance as well as in adhesiveness to earth, the catalyst thus molded is excellent in strength and catalytic characteristics, as well as in feasibility.
