A method for preparing polyurethane microparticles is provided to obtain polyurethane microparticles that allows easy washing and control of particle size and shape and has a desired uniform particle size distribution. A method for preparing polyurethane microparticles comprises the steps of: dispersing a compound having an isocyanate group and a compound having an active hydrogen atom into a dispersion medium containing an inorganic suspension stabilizer to provide a suspension; and carrying out a reaction in the suspension. The inorganic suspension stabilizer is used in an amount of 0.5-20 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the combined weight of the isocyanate-containing compound and the active hydrogen-containing compound.
