<p>PURPOSE:To provide a high desulfurization ratio and to prevent scaling generation in the desulfurization process of a waste gas contg. HCl, by adding anions capable of forming a hardly soluble salt of calcium into absorbent slurry. CONSTITUTION:In desulfurization of a waste gas contg. a large amount of HCl, such as the waste gas from coal-fired boiler, anions capable of forming a hardly soluble salt of calcium, such as a fluoride ion and a phosphate ion, are added into aqueous slurry of calcium hydroxide or calcium carbonate. In this manner, slurry supernatant is decreased in calcium ion concentration to enahance a dissolving rate of calcium carbonate and to maintain a high pH value of the slurry. This results in a high desulfurization ratio and prevents scaling generation.</p> |
