PURPOSE:To reduce the manufacturing cost of the device, facilitate the maintenance and improve the function of the head by constituting the device such that the head main structure is supported by an ink supply connecting portion supported on a recorder main structure. CONSTITUTION:The ink jet recorder of the ink on demand system comprises a nozzle injecting ink, a pressure generating chamber 3, an ink tank 8, a recorder main structure 100 and the like. In the recorder there is provided a supply connecting portion 30 for supplying ink from the ink tank 8 to the supply path 4 of the head main structure 10, which is supported by support the recorder main structure 100, and the head main structure 10 is supported by the supply connecting part 30. By this organization, the capacity of a supply preparation chamber 5 is substantially increased and the pressure from the ink tank 8 can be applied to respective nozzles uniformly, the structure of the recorder can be made compact and the number of assembly steps can be reduced. |
