The lock for shutting several drawers positioned one on top of the other, especially a set of desk drawers, incorporates a locking bar (2) which extends the entire heights of the back of the drawers. The centre back of each drawer (5) has U shaped guide clamp (1) which locks into a matching cavity (3) in the locking bar (2). The cavity (3) extends approx. two-tirds to three-quarters of the width of the locking bar (2). The upper limit (7) of the cavity (3) runs obliquely downwards and then bends obliquely upwards. The extreme end of the cavity (3) has a downward-pointing groove (6).
