<p>Metal sections (1,2) for the manufacture of heat insulating structural frames are so arranged that the outside facing profile is separated from the inward facing profile by a layer of heat insulating material (10). The two sections are placed in a fixture and the gap between them is closed on the sides and on top by adhesive tape (5). Another fixture is placed over the two sections, the whole is inverted and the first fixture is removed. The gap (4) can now be filled up with a liquid insulating and sealing compound which solidifies. This method is suitable for small as well as large quantity production.</p> |
