<p>The folding-blade propeller has pivoted blades connected to a form of transmission. Axial movement of a rack coaxial with the hub rotates the blades from parallel to the hub to their working position. This transmission comprises a partial straight-toothed pinion (8) formed integrally with the blade, coaxial with the pivot bearing (3). The mating rack teeth (11) are actutely-angled relative to a perpendicular to the rack axis (7). The bearing axes (6) are pref. angled (5) about 49 deg. to that axis. There are pref. two blades diametrically opposed, with an angle between bearing axes of about 98 deg.</p> |
