UNDERCUT FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF THE MOLD ASSEMBLY

An apparatus and a method for forming undercut inside a mold assembly are provided to install an under-cut forming core so that the under-cut forming core is guided by a guide inclination part of the second shape core when a mold is opened and to separate the under-cut forming core from the under-cut part of a product naturally. A fixture plate(30) includes a first shape plate formed with a first shape core(38) having a shape corresponding to a shape of a product(1). A movable plate(50) is provided at a movable side of a mold. A second shape plate includes a second shape core(70) formed with a guide inclination part(74) inclined toward the central portion of the inner space of the product. The second shape plate selectively sticks to the first shape plate. An under-cut forming core(80) includes an under-cut forming part(82) corresponding to an under cut of the product. The under-cut forming core is guided by the guide inclination part to move toward the center portion of the inner space of the product while moving in a direction of a first shape plate when the mold is opened.
