Front and rear side pieces and a cover make up a box for a roller shutter. The cover (1) is a monolithic form-pressed unit arched in a hood shape. It has battens (6) monolithically formed on its longitudinal edges, forming niches to hold the side pieces. On the top it has regularly spaced cross stems (7) with end pocket-shaped undercut depressions (6). The battens have monolithically formed cams (9) on the inside, between the depressions. This structure has a high degree of flexural rigidity, and anchorage of parts is integrated to give simple assembly.
